A luckylucianoblog- The big bang gave us ninjas & twitter

Ok pay attention!! some of humankind's greatest minds of the last 100 years, scribbling incomprehensible mathematics, on massive chalk boards, such as Georges Lemaitre, Alan Guth, Robert Dicke, gave us the Big bang and inflationary universe Theories. The consensus between all these great minds is that the universe is around 13.7 to 14.2 billion years old. That it just popped into being out of nothing, that its a part of a multiverse like 1000's of bubbles in your bath. It took less time to create the universe we live in, than it does to make to a cup of tea for the misses... After just 3 minutes nearly 95% of everything there is, was created. More than likely the trillions of atoms that make you and I up were around then as well. Ok so to recap, we have nothing then KABOOOM or in mathematical terms T = 0. Then we have a sudden expansion of space, things started to cool down and then gravity takes over, and then stars and galaxies started to form. Or as the meerkats on the television advert would say "SIMPLES".

So whats this all got to do with Ninjas and twitter you ask, well everything really... If our universe hadn't just popped into being all those billions of years ago, and gravity crushed hydrogen and helium clouds into stars, you and I wouldn't be here right now. I wouldn't have just watched an awesome movie " Ninja assassin" and you wouldn't be on twitter reading this now. I read everybody's tweets everyday with gusto, but I have yet to read one about someone marvelling at where we came from. How lucky we are to be able to sit in front of our laptops, or on our phones and tweet about anything and anybody. How lucky we are to be able to watch our favourite movies, and be arm chair critics armed with pop corn and strawberry cornetto's  `:-) If matter had been a fraction less than its counter part antimatter, none of this would have happened, if our wonderful planet Earth hadn't been in the goldilocks zone we would have been another mars. There would have been no cool Ninjas for me to watch on the big screen :-(
We should all take a moment or two everyday to just stop and marvel at our universe, use twitter to bring up debate on our origin. To challenge modern theories and ideology, did a god create all this or was it really just a quantum effect. I've heard it said once, that the odds of complicated and intelligent life such as are's being born is such a lucky event, as to be compared to a tornado blowing through a junk yard and piecing together a 747 jumbo. So next time your lost in life and ask for help on twitter, like I've just done, or are watching Ninjas kick ass, just take a moment out, and reflect on that single event that happened so long ago out of nothing.......that moment that gave us all life... that moment that has led us to the present day and that all important follow on twitter...

A luckylucianoblog- Seduced by a greek goddess

Ever had a re-occuring dream??.....I mean one of those dreams, that comes at least once a month since you were a child. I have and its a Bloody damn good one, in this dream I always get seduced by a stunning Greek Goddess :-)
And not just by any Goddess either ill have you know, she first introduced herself to me at the age of ten. This is a true story by the way no names or places have been changed to protect the innocent ;-).
She came to me that night in a dream, I was stood at the gates of massive white temple, its pillars adorned with fresh flowers and candles. The scent of jasmine and honey suckle incense, hung in the air, it felt warm and inviting, it felt safe. Then the temple doors opened and there she was, Absolute pure beauty personified. I stood there frozen, my heart pounding in my chest, I was in love, just like that, there and then on the spot. She gently moved a lock of her long golden blonde hair from her face and came over to me. She knelt down in front of me and took my hand in hers, it was warm and soft and delicate, "my name is Enyo, don't be afraid" she said, her voice was like sheer honey and chocolate. " You are my little warrior who will become a man soon, and who i will protect forever" With that she kissed me on the forehead and left.
The warrior Enyo

I awoke the next day and when I got to school I rushed into the library to look up the goddess Enyo... and there she was .... The goddess of war... Enyo sister to the god of war Mars ..... How coool was that. Now i swear id never heard of her before that nights dream, I knew of Mars the god of war of course but not that he had a sister. Now She has graced my dreams for nearly 30 years, and once a month, with out fail she appears. Now over the years she has become, more of a temptress, a seductive one at that, she lulls me into her arms, then lays me next to her and the seduction begins :-) and you know when they say a dream can last a lifetime?... well its true...
Temptress Enyo
Now she has loved me and protected me for years, She gives me guidance and love, she tells me tales of Achilles and Hercules, of Gods and Titans, of Prometheus and his love for us. I believe we all have a Goddess or God looking after us, who guide us through life, I believe that if you open your mind and soul to your guide in life, spirit, angel, god or whatever you wish to call them, you will feel them close by. When you are down, or need help or guidance call upon them and they will listen to you. Call me a fool or a whatever you want, but once a month my Goddess comes to me in my sleep, and takes me far away to a place where there is no pain or hurt or bigotry, just love and kindness.
She seduces me with passion and fervour, she holds me close and guides me everyday. To history she is a destroyer of cities, a raging warrior of war but to me She's my Goddess Everlasting....

surfer dude changed my life

last year in Italy a long haired surfer dude came up to me and said.. 'wow love your bike man'. I'd heard this remark a 1000 times before, but coming from a surfer dude, well it just blew me away. His next muttered sentence really hit the spot though...'dude i surf the waves... you surf the tarmac!!' And with that he walked away, board under his arm, cornetto in one hand . I'd never looked at it that way, having been a biker for over 16 years I always classed it as a ride not a surf. Now I was surfing the tarmac, 182BHP of raw power surfing the tarmac, I loved it, the sheer notion of surfing on the road was just awesome to me. I no longer go for rides with the guys, i go surfing with the dudes man. All of us dressed up as colorful power rangers, bikes gleaming, chains oiled and tight, bum bags full of change and cigarettes. I don't know about you but I love motorbikes, torque, speed, cornering, knee down, popping it up onto the back wheel, traffic light formula one get aways, smell off WD40 and engine oil. The sensation a bike gives you is only equaled by a fighter jet I was once told by an RAF pilot at a local bike meet. OK so it can be dangerous, I've lost friends in horrible bike accidents, but i always knew they died doing something they loved more than anything else on this planet. They surfed there way into bikers Valhalla!!!. I now have a Honda Fireblade one of the best super sports road bikes man has ever engineered, proof is in the pudding darling, the blade has kicked ass at the Isle of Man TT again this year  Watching those nutters surf there way around that track at average speeds of 160mph+ is just breathtaking, then to watch them casually sit down and have a cup of tea is truly legendary. So i say to all you bikers out there stop saying to your wife, girlfriend, mates I'm going for a spin, a ride...say it as it is, in the coolest way possible, I'm going surfing dudes .........

A luckylucianoblog-My love of venice

If theres one city on earth that has blown me away it has to be venice... the moment you step out of the train station you enter into a magical world. A world seeped in history, amazing art and architecture, of unbelievable feats of engineering to rival the pyramids of Egypt.
The first time you see the Rialto bridge , you loose your breath, you become rooted to the spot, a tingle runs down your spine. I've sat for hours drinking coffee near the Rialto bridge, taking it all in, the palazzi that surround it magnificent and regal, the sounds of the grand canal echoing off the walls.
Then you go deep inside Venice, walking for hours, lost in thought. The slap of water on the buildings, the aroma's pouring out of bars and shops assaulting your senses, overwhelming them, calling you. I love the rich colours reflecting of the waters as well, vivid reds, deep greens, purples and greys. The Tied up boats banging and bobbing to the wake of passing gondola's and speed boats. Every bridge, every stone, captivating its audience, a global audience, every race and creed happily lost in the back waters of venice.

I love this city so much, i could walk around for days, lost in its secrets and desires. At night its just something else, this truly would be a Vampires city of choice. The sounds and people entice you along, the restaurants warm and inviting. One of my dreams would be to own a home and boat in venice, to be able to visit the city at will, to feel her calling me back.
I have been to Paris, and don't get me wrong here, i love Paris but i don't believe it is the city of love, Venice is the city of lovers!!!....I've never seen so many shows of public affection as in Venice, couples just cant help themselves. It has so many places to just stop and hug and hold hands, to marvel at her beauty, to dream dreams.
I'm a fan of Venice as you can tell, I always feel her calling to me, and I always answer her call...She's like a siren to me. Venezia amore mio ti voglio tanto bene a sai :-)

Still loving my Tattoo

Six months on and I'm still loving my tattoo...how weird is it that I waited almost 20 years to get a bloody tattoo done. I don't know why I never did it years ago, maybe the constant "don't do it, you will regret it for the rest of your life' speech played a big part. Or the fear of my parents disowning me, that look off disappointment in there eyes.. 'what have you done to yourself'  kinda look...
But then I woke up one morning and just went for it.... had the design copied and ready, £200 in my pocket, and a belly full of courage.
Take a seat the guy said, it will take about 3 to 4 hours to do, do you want a coffee??, whiskey please I replied!!!
Then it began, the buzzing, the ever constant buzzing, then the first prick of the needle on my flesh... and to my amazement it didn't hurt a bit. That was until he started to get closer to the bone, and when he started shading in that really bloody hurt...
But as you can see i was loving it watching him massacre my arm, my design was special, and important to me, as was the writing going below the tattoo. Since a child i have loved the hero Achilles, and tales of his adventures with his myrmidons, the bravest of all soldiers in ancient Greece.
My uncle in Italy before he died bless him, told me once to model myself as a Myrmidon, Brave, selfless, courageous, unfaltering, stand up for what you believe, nobody can hurt you attitude, even invincible at times.
So After 4 hours I became that Myrmidon, that tattoo has helped me everyday since my separation, every morning I look at it and it makes me smile.
It reminds me, of who I have become, and for What i stand for in life..... I really do love my tattoo.. roll on the next one :-)
